Yea old colt that's it. Shannon did like I did with his build thread. The car was almost finished before the thread was started. I didn't do a thread on it while I was building it because I didn't have time (I hadn't finished my thread yet). It's not finished in the video but should be close by the end of this week. Shannon has been working at night putting in the upholstery and head lights and that sort of stuff it's going to be a nice car. We are planning on going to Commerce GA this Saturday for a nostalgic race.

It's just a group of dudes from around NC and SC that put together some very strict rules so we could run our G***er against other like cars. I don't know why my name got put on it but that's what most know it by. We have been trying to come up with a name but no luck yet and it's about 3 years old. We have about 15 cars now with about 5 more being built for next year. We don't have a web site set up but we should.

Maybe Retro Gear Jammers, Retro Jammers sounds like a roller derby team of old gals or a swing band ;)

I think I like Rebel Gear Jammers.

  11. For one of the more bad *** you tube videos of Quain, and "The Carolina Crash Box Crew" go to you tube and look at "The Executioner at Thunder Valley", and "G***ers at Shadyside 4-14-13". Also check out "Quain Stott and Jeremy Pearson at Bristol"

I find the workmanship and talent they put into each project is First Cl***.

Just looking at the photo's you can get an education on the right way to do things.

Very professional and I cannot wait to see the car complete.

    Great job Quain. Jimbo

  13. Quain, I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Since you were inspired by Gene Cromer, and you built your own Willys to run with Jeremy Pearson & Greg Porter and the rest, and I KNOW you do some "Moon Lighting" on yours and others cars, not to mention all your hard work to restore the original Moon Lighter (both man & car my friend) as I'm sure they do too.., why don't you call your group, "The Moon Lighters" ? If Gene would give you his blessing. You could even do patches and have an ***ociation, every member pays a nominal fee to join, some proceeds from that and shirt sales etc. go back to Gene to help him run his car. Just thinking out loud, but that name seems a natural. Besides, we all have our G***er hero's, some of which have p***ed on, but Gene is a living inspiration, and a testimony to them all.

I've been emailing Quain over the past few days asking him drag race questions and he has got to be one of the coolest car guys I have met!

There are a lot of hot rodders that could learn from Quain.

He is EXTREMELY helpful without expecting a single thing in return, I tip my hat to you Quain! You are always welcome at my house.

Screw L.A. I'm moving to the other side of the country, better people and LOTS OF DRAG RACIN!!
