In the UK you don't need wipers or washers if your screen folds out. I guess they think you can peer underneath it when it gets filthy, but it never worked that way with my Morris....

Do not think of buying anything but a new age body! any questions, I live about an hour away and stop in at least once every couple of months.

That's interesting. I'm thinking about just buying a squeegee to keep under my seat, of course, that won't matter because I'm not planning on having a roof on my truck, so if I'm out in the rain, I'm going to get soaked.

Been looking for the same 5 window 32 coupe. Looked at Downs. Suprised no one mentioned Downs. Any issues with them?

Check with Steve at Sunrise Color in Grants Pass. 541 467-2514. He's a dealer for Downs and is very knowledgeable, has put together a lot of reasonable packages. He is a regular at Fortuna's Autofest and has a lot of customers in you area. Plus no sales tax in Oregon. He might want your steel body in trade.

    I know Steve! Great guy!
    Hmm, I didn't even think about offering a trade, I know he's a 28/29 guy. I'll give him a call, thanks.

I went to Steve's yesterday. He has a Downs body on display there. I was really impressed with it, very solid and the inner structure looked substantial. All the panels were nice and straight and the doors matched up perfect. Looks really nice with a 2 1/2" chop I believe he said it was.Very reasonable price too. I think I'm sold on it. Boy, I love going to his shop and checking out all the cool stuff! His pickup was coming along nicely, I forgot to take pics though.

Well shoot guys, the budget is getting smaller and smaller each time I check on it. I think I'm faced with putting together my 29 coupe pieces. Going to be some WORK, but will fit in my budget.

I would definatly have the swing out. I like the looks of a cowl vent, just to look original, but would be concerned about water coming in. Might not be room with the vintage air unit under the dash.

I think the quality IS very good, but some of the details are not like an original ford body.

I'm seeing some PHENOMENAL deals on completely unassembled bodies. Now compared to piecing together a rusty old model A, I'm thinking this will be a breeze. Am I dead wrong about this assumption?
