questin....on off set ford 9 inch rear end

    ok im havin a problem on a 9 inch rear end there is th off set driver side is longer than p***. side.....there for my drive shaft is off by about three inches.....how do i correct this so my shaft will line up straight? i know this is probally a dumb quest.but i do need to figure it out....th car has been on th road like this but will it cause a problem?

    Off set driveshafts are a common occurance in the auto industry. In fact more are offset than straight. A universal joint is made to compensate for misalignment and if one is run in a perfectly straight line the needle bearings will imbed in the cross and cups causing premature failure.
