Question 46-48 Wheel Cylinders

    Are rear wheel cylinders same as fronts on 46-48 Fords?

    No. The rears have seats in them that the steel brake line seals against.

    BUT........I have used rears on the front with rubber lines that had a tapered seat in them. Normally the fronts seal with a copper washer.

    Thanks a bunch, I just got to find some front brake lines with seats and cooper gaskets. You wouldnt happen to have a part number?

    It seems like the ones that Raybestos sells had the seats in them. No need for the gaskets if you do it like that.

    Anybody else got input on this?
