    IT'S SITTING IN MY '54 BEL AIR SEDAN, I BLOCKED OFF THE OILPAN BREATHER DOWNTUBE. WAS THIS A MISTAKE ? DOES THE PAN REQUIRE SOME FORM OF BREATHER ? Thanks, "Dyno" Dave

    The road draft tube?
    You need that unless you added a pcv system right?

    You're talking about the draft tube that presses into the p***enger side of the block? Yes, unless you fit the engine with a PCV system of some sort, it needs to be there.

    Thanks, a mechanic crafted a PVC setup years ago, I forgot !!!!!!!
