I bought a couple of rubber air vent connectors about two years ago.I am talking about the rubber that connects the air vent from front of car to the air box the hood hinges are on. Anyway I did not like the way they fit. Basically the rubber was round on both ends and duct from front is round and air box is round on one side square on the other. Now they are tearing on the square corners. My question is have any of you found some connectors that work better?

If I cant find a properly fitting rubber connector, then I will probably try to fabricate something. The car originally came with a rubber connector and hopefully someone has already fought this battle.

The ones I got from Dennis Carpenter were round and square both the way they should be.

I need these too, I have plastic baggies and zip ties at the moment.

Does anyone know off hand what these are called in the catalogs, or better yet a PN? I have both catalogs and have been through front to back and didn't notice these. The closest thing I found was "hood hinge ***embly seal", but no picture so I didn't want to order the incorrect thing.

LOL, two minutes after I asked that, I found it in the catalog. Always seems to happen like that. :p

In the DC catalog it's BA-7001878-C - Air Duct Ventilator Connector Rubber - $15.00(ea)

Thanks for that information . I am going to have to replace mine also and I really think it's one of those parts that we will all need to replace one time or another .
