Im considering mounting my bones to the inside of the frame rail rather than the outside. Im using the bolt on type brackets, I'm hoping to gain a little clearance between my bones and the pitman arm. Are there any problems doing this? Will it look stupid? I'm trying to keep it pretty period correct for post war AV8 coupe any opinions ? thanks Mike

the closer together that you can mount them, the better the suspension will work

Henry had it right with them attached

Make sure you have it secured strong enough

    good luck

  3. Mike that's how I mounted mine, I think it looks better than mounted outside personally. [IMG]

It will work fine, just mock everything up and tack weld it and stand back and look at it. If you like it weld it up.... I have the bones on my 31 sedan project mounted to the inside of the frame rail....

I did it too. I wanted an unsplit bone look. It worked out good for me with respect to the pitman arm because of how far inboard I went. I actually made a bracket between the frame rail and the X-member.

You may have to do a little heating and bending of the pitman arm if necessary.
