i got some flake from billetproof and i want to spray the roof of the impala with it, but im not sure i want to change the color, i was wondering if it would be possible to buff the remaining clearcoat off and then spray a new couple coats of clear down with the flake in it. would this work ok? im not really to good with bodywork. any ideas?

I'd block the clear down with some 600 grit, shoot your flake/clear, then clear over that. You should only need a couple coats of the flake and probably 4 coats of just clear. Next your going to block out the roof with 600 again and reclear. Now you should be able to cut and buff. You don't wanna be feeling that flake :D ......slim

Don't sand thru the clear top coat into the flake...it'll make it look really dumb
