i've been thinking about painting my pan with metalflake in the paint. My uncle does my painting for free and has been doing it about 20 years so does a pretty nice job, especialy for the price.I know his gun is just one of the older ones that the canister that holds the paint screws on the bottom of the gun.Can that gun be used to spray flake? What would i need to get for the gun to make it happen? And lastly where do i find some flake?I haven't hit him about the idea yet as i want to see if it's going to be too big a hassle to ask him to do for me.I know that was actually several questions, thanks for any input...........

If your uncle is a painter he will know all the answers to your paint questions.

He may however not want to do it since it makes a HUGE mess.

well he actually wrenchs on/build bikes for a living and paints the local guys stuff.I've never seen him lay down any flake since he's been doing it.I know somebody on here can tell me what i'm asking him to do before i actually ask if it's that big of a hassle. So to my knowledge he has no info or experience with flake, thanks for the reply though.............

pm low and slow he will tell you anything you need to know about flake. he is the master of flake. The gun your uncle uses will be fine. Find out what size tip he has. Your local auto body supplier would be able to get you flake, there is a person on ebay who has good deals on flake also. pm donnie and he will awnser all your questions. Nate

Or the whos online you may be able to find his screen name there. There has also been alot of metalflake post on the board, do a search for metalflake and you can find something there!!
