I'm installing a 302 and 5 speed from an '85 Mustang in my '56 Fairlane. I think I read somewhere that the 5 speed uses ATF fluid instead of trans oil. Does anyone have any info on this?
    Thanks, Ken

You are correct in what you have read . The T-5 Ford Trans uses modern ATF trans fluid . I had one and used a high grade synthetic trans fluid from AMS OIL .
