Hot Rods Question? Are there a lot of new part vendors at the Springfield Swap?

Just wondering what to expect as I will be there on Friday. How big? Good facility? What's the caper?

 

Good swap meet. I do not think you will be dissappointed. Usually there are a number of vendors selling repo parts.

Springfield is still a real good show. I go every year just mainly to buy. Lots of used junk. Dont know how this year will be with the economy in the toilet, but I usually get some good deals there. Dont know what kind of new stuff you are hunting, but it is the normal tons of Camaro, Chevelle, and Nova guys. Obsolete Ford out of OK I am told is not coming this year. You will enjoy---lots of cool junk there.

 

Hopefully it will be as cool this weekend as it has been the past few days. But I wouldn't bet on it!

 

I set up and sell stuff there every year. Im in L-71 and L-72 . Stop in and say Hi.

 

I've found that the asphalt area has more new stuff and the grassy, treed, hilly area has more used stuff. Certainly worth attending.

 

I'm hoping to find a grill shell for my Binder P/U,a 38 chevy,packard,hudson,IH or MF,JD,????

Thank you. I like to look at new stuff as well as all the old junk. Just wondering if guys like Pete & Jakes will be there. Stuff on that order. Not really looking for too much new stuff but it's always nice to buy the stuff that you need that isn't old .
