    Hey fellas,

For those that don't know yet... I am now back riding on Indpenedent trucks again... It's been 10 years since i left the company, but things have worked out this year for their continued support in the skateboard industry and one of my latest sponsors:)

Thier 30 year anniversary is coming up and they are going to do some special designed limited edition team shirts for the public and a few of the team riders are going to design them! I hear that old school pool skater-Steve Olsen will be one of the first and i was asked to do a t-shirt design as well.

as you know...i'd love to have a Hot rod/ Kustom theme to the shirt design with the cool "Independent truck Co. logo on the door... kinda like a shop truck.

so the question is..." what kind of truck do you think would look cool for the art design for the new shirt?"

any suggestions or picks of some cool looking trucks i could get some ideas from? I do have some ideas, but would love to hear/see yours as well, pictures preferrable:)

this still has to be one of my local favorites:)

    best wishes,

I'd say a cartoonized version of a 49-54 Chevy truck. IE a low chop, maybe a slight section, more flowing fenders and tuckign big wide whites with six-twos and stacks without a hood. Thats my idea...lol.;)

58-9 Fords were always my fave, have one on bags scraping the pavement followed by "Built to Grind"

Here is a picture of Colby Martin's 58 off of the classic trucks website

Indy shirt never got me in trouble, neither did the Minor Threat or Black Flag, but my Dead Kennedys shirt pissed off the old man (told me I'd end up with a bullet in my head). Never had balls to wear my "Nazi Punks Fuck Off" shirt to school.

I'd like to see a jacked-up, gasser-style pickup with an Indy truck up front instead of a straight axle.

Hey Cab, how about a rear shot of your coupe with an Indy truck peeking out from underneath instead of a Q-C? Or maybe just a pic of an Indy truck with a Q-C center section grafted into it?

When I got sent home for wearing a shirt, it was an old Metallica "Metal Up Your Ass" tour jersey.

I would go with a ratfink style drawing of a fenderless model a pick-up .
if you are going for an old timey shoptruck look, I was thinkin an original un chopped 28-9 ford with just a lowering job would make a cool shop truck. When I owned Dirt Brothers Industry we wanted to do somethin like that on a shirt.
    Just my 2 cents worth.

all of the trucks sound good, but add a skater doing a hand plant on a bed rail of a truck so that you can see the bottom of the board with the independent logo

How about being really different and using a picture of "plowboys" SPACE TRUCK. It would just make your shirt that much more different. And hey, that truck kicks ass!

Bill, your truck rocks. I'm hoping our '53 is as nice as yours when it's done for this coming spring. Any other photos or info on it? Thanks,

Also, I think if you're looking for a COE, you should use this one, it's from classiccoe.com:

Cab, I'll bet my truck could hold 20 skateboards.

It wouldn't be the first time someone stuck a logo on the door either. Ha Ha Ha
