Is Labor Day bigger than Memorial? I was up there Friday night and Saturday morning and though I was definately impressed (it's Paso, right?), It seemed sorta small. Granted people are still rollin into town all weekend I'm sure and there was a thread about it bein' full..I just wondered.
My wife was checking vacancies and there are a lot of rooms open still yet a grip of hotels are sold out for Labor day. What gives?
By the way, don't ask what I was in..lets just say if you heard Comin' Correct/25 ta Life you saw me...

Too small HUH. I was there fri and sat and I didnt see half of what was there. It's only the biggest show in california. And yes there is a show on labor day and no it is usually a bit smaller.

Easy there, man. I didn't say it was too small and I wouldn't say it's the biggest ,either. It was my first time up there and I just had it built up in my head more than it was. I was not disappointed and in no way do I intend to dis WCK. It's a great show. It just seems more full in Mag coverage kinda like playmates..

  5. We spent all day walking the park, could have spent another day walking the side streets, place was packed.

My legs couldn't walk any further.

Sometimes its not about how big it is.

Maybe the GG shows are more your type:rolleyes:

A show is a show. I don't care what the type. I will say I liked what I saw, heard, and smelled at Paso was better than any show I've been to. I'm sorry if I'm not greaser enough to only go to one type of car show. I'm proud to say I've hit everything from rod shows to truck runs. I go to be inspired not to fit in to anything.

The part of Paso I like best is cruising the main st with cars most people only see in magazines. Not everybody does the cruise, but this year there were so many that in 2 hours we only made one pass and back. It doesn't get any better than this. All the "big names" were here, many of them driving their cars. All the regular guys that could made it too. I had the time of my life, and will be back next year.

Of all people that would understand, I knew you would. I will try to go Labor day and will definately be there next Memorial..and the car IS NOT staying home. For the same reasons you mentioned.

Labor day is a great show, but not as big. This Memorial day was our biggest show ever. We are limited by the city of Paso Robles to 850 cars. On Friday I took names on a waiting list for people who hadn’t pre-registered. There were 85 total. Due to last minute cancellations and some mild fibbing, we were able to sneak another 43 in. That left at least 42 turned away and at least another 300 who show up ever year who show up and enjoy the show without paying. (cheap fuckers)

    This will be the size.

    no bigger.

It's not the good guys by any means. The big difference is gold chainers. You have to send in a picture of your car. That way we can select the cars that fit the show. You won't see 3,000 red, billet clad, I qualified for a home equity loan, 32 Roadsters that all look the same, like at a greedy guys show.
