I found a cool 59 el camino but it was in a fire in the field were it sets.....It doesnt look to bad but the question is can this be used and put back on the road......will the engine be ok what about the temper of the metal on the body....its cheap but if I cant use it its not worth ****
That's a RARE El Camino!! Chevrolet started producing them in '59...... How bad was the fire?? Was the car completely burned or just "singed"? Post pics.
Usually if the tires burn everything is pretty well toasted. If it just got singed by a gr*** fire it might be worth working on. Now as the other guys said, they didn't make ElCaminos in 1955 so what is it or is it a wagon with the back of the roof cut off as there were several of those running around including a couple of Nomads that got the axe.
If the paint burned off of it and the interior burned, I'd say it's toast. If all the plastic and rubber are just melted, and the gl*** has delaminated but the paint is still on the metal (though singed), then get it. -Brad
Round tailights and fins...probably a 1960 el camino. If its cheap buy it. If it's shot, fill the bed with kingsford and use it as a BBQ! pictures?
