    Gents,
I’ve browsed the forums but haven’t been able to confirm whether an original 1950 Mercury Split Bench seat will fit into a 1951.

GRANTED, with a little bit of fabrication anything can be made to fit, but it would be nice to know what I might be getting into.

A local gentleman, who’s a member of this forum, actually has one that I’m considering picking up.

    Thank you!

  2. Try contacting Bad Bob from OC on here. I believe he may have the info you need. Use the member search up in the right corner for members.

Considering that the floor pans are the same and the doors interchange, I can't imagine it being an issue. Maybe some drilling for seat bracket variation.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like old man ford changed up the 51 floor pan and the seat mounts differently then the 49-50. The seat mounts through the frame rail and bolts to caged nuts on the underneath of frame.

It will take some modifications to work.

    Thank you!
