What would the drivetrain out of a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr be worth? That is front end parts, v12 engine, tranny, and rearend. Supposed to be running and driving with 60k miles on the stuff. Any help appreciated. Thanks

  2. nothing, but by the way who's selling it? What's their phone number? How much are they asking?:D

Not *much* more than $35,999 that's for sure.

The V-12 was unique to the Zephyr from ’36 to ‘48 (’39 and ’48 are the best of the bunch, according to various restoration guides, etc.) the transmission gears are the same as a Ford or Merc. (The famed Zephyr gears are '42 to '48). The stock rear ratio is 444 unless it has a Columbia (the Columbia is worth more than the rest of the drivetrain put together). Obviously there is a value for someone restoring a Zephyr but, unless you are building another “Hot Rod Lincoln”, there is little value. I’d check out the Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club at www.LZOC.org. Place an ad and see what kind of response you get.
