How many loose rims with or without tires do you have laying around the shop that currently aren't on cars?

My count 38 w 4 more I have to go get. How I got so many I don't know.

I have about 12, I'm going to build a rack that goes high up though. So I stop using them for layout and welding tables.

2 from a trailer that need new tires,
4 from a Nissan pickup that I bought for the new tires that were on them for my '00 Dodge Ram, and might use to repair the wide 5s..
1 split rim Ford wide 5
3 or 4 3/4 ton Ford wide fives.
At least 4 regular Ford wide fives in various states of decomposition.
At least one of my 53 Cadillac wheels here, the rest(4) in storage with the car.
So at least 13 here, and maybe more, I need to clean out the garage. Geez, that sounds bad, but then so does 4 vehicles that wont see the road anytime soon.

I have only got three. Every time I get up to four, I buy a car to stick them on.

  14. 2 tires off the rims so I can load engines in trucks and such. I have 6 rims with no tires, but two of those are to be smelted down for casting ingots. I feel so inferior now. :(

    Great answer.

I only have four in my garage, and they're not even mine.

I have found that if you take tires and or wheels and roll them down the street at 12:00 midnight somebody comes around an picks them up. of course this is at my shop in an industrial area. I wouldn't do it in a neighborhood.

I found this out cuz one day I looked in my old ford pickup bed and there are two rims/tires in there that are not mine. then over by my trailer there are two used tires that don't belong to me.

rolled them out into the street and they were gone in a couple of days.

I wouldn't do this with my own junk tires. just when other people decide to put thier junk in and around my stuff.

dang,I only count 9 laying outside..that's not even a good start compared to you guys...it was enough, however,to always really piss off my ex-wife whenever she walked around the side of the garage...If i'd had as many as you guys, maybe she'd have left sooner

  21. I have many hundreds.

Not too many HAMB friendly ones. Maybe a few dozen pairs.

I just bought a 66 Ford truck that had 6 spare tires in the back, all mounted, all holding air. Just in case? Maybe it was an 8 lug collection.

I've also got about 12 others that I can think of and about 6 loose tires. No 4 match of really anything but a set of Keystones.

I have 22.......... yeah 22 tires and not one I can use for my project!

but it was such a screamin’ deal 20 year old but never used "vintage" tires for 40 bucks. I mean come on.
I had just spent $220 on 2 tires at the Coker truck then this dude comes up to me wants to know if I need any more "new" tires. So I look at his inventory and next thing you know my truck is full.

I have about 15-20 wheels and half a dozen junk tires laying around. I'll probably sell the wheels, but the tires are useful for mock-up.....or so I tell the wife.

    I can't beat Wheelkid but I'm sure I have over 100.

I'm hoarding OEM rally wheels, figuring they'll become more valueable in the future as 22" donk wheels come off of all the Cutl***'s and people want to make them look stock again.

I've seen pictures of Wheelkid's back yard and looks like he's hoarding too, helping to artificially make these wheels rare and valueable. Keep up the good work.

  30. About 16 wheels, and 6 tires. mostly former rollers, when you switch out rear ends and front ends your needs change.
