FAFA, I have been using the 525 type box on our racecars since 1969 and I never could figure out EXACTLY what spline came with what years..

    Generally speaking tho....3/4-36= 64 to 72 , 13/16-36 = 72 to 76 and 3/4 -30 is 76 up (and 605 box)

I say generally because I have found all of them across the board at one time or another..

Anytime you are working on a 30 + year old car , with across the board interchangeability ( except for the input splines. LOL ) you never know for sure what you will find..

Best advice is to remove the rag joint and try and slip a 3/4" open wrench over the round part of the splines...If I will NOT fit, then it is 13/16-36 ( the only 13/16 spline count ).. If the 3/4 wrench slips over the shaft , then you have to count splines...the 30 looks really co**** next to the 36..
After you have looked at them side by side , it becomes a little easier..
IE; the really co**** spline is 3/4-30, and the really big one is 13/16-36...
    Good luck
    Dave
BTW, I keep all three joints on the shelf (used) because the dirt track is a contact sport..you never know when you need to swap boxes !

Since a 76 nova is a camaro in disguise,, Yes sir..
And chevelle, 65 up impala, and the entire gm (bop) line..
You can even take this info all the way up to 87 regal, cutl***, monte carlo as well...although most of them had the 605 box..
Still interchangeable, just match the fittings...(most 605's had o-ring type metric threads instead of inverted flare sae thread..
