Does anyone make these round balls w/extension that, I guess, just slides into the metal tube w/staples and rides against the windshield? I need one for the drivers side visor. I'm about to get the headliner done and the price includes covering the visors along with the package tray. Anyone?

Check the 1959 ones. Maybe DC.

Here you go. I think they sell the center bracket for them too.

That looks like it but it's for '58-'60. Would probably work but I don't know what the anchor for a '54 would look like. Does anyone have a pic of the pin and anchor in a finished car?

Curious… I have a 56, but why would you want a metal ball riding against a gl*** windshield? If it’s going to fit in a clamp like modern cars I can see it. Our visors com to the outside edge of our mirrors stock and don’t cover everything but do a pretty good job for 50’s cars….. thanks

The visors in my 54Victoria do not have anything like that.. They have been recovered in the past by a prior owner but I doubt they would leave anything like that off.

I agree with Paul. My '54 Mainline Tudor has original interior, including the visors, and it does not have the ball at the end of the visor, just a chrome plated clip at the end of the fabric. I can post a picture of my visor if you want. I have never seen that ball on any of the many '54's that I have owned over the years and none of the three '54's that I now own have that ball. I think that someone may have added it to your car using the part from a later year Ford.

I don't think the ball end came until the 59 model year.

That could be. DC lists the ball as '58-'60. My visors came with no material on them, just some sort of cardboard covering with a vanity mirror attached to the p*** side visor. No anchor point on my car at all. Maybe I'll just pull that ball and have the upholsterer cover the whole thing with padding and material.
