Hey, guys, This is a new site for me, and exciting to see people share ideas and information. If I put this in the wrong spot, please dont hesitate to move it to the right board. I am looking for information on where to go (and I know you guys can tell me where to go….) on selling a book I recently acquired. It’s a vintage Ford repair manual, about 720 pages. It has some really cool info in it. I just don’t have a lot of use for it, but Im sure someone on here could/would find a good home for it. Any info is appreciated. Included are some photos.. The book in the background is a standard Chiltons manual, used only to give you an idea of size. I took a photo of the introduction for more accurate info, as the cover isn’t very impressive. This is a photo of the index in the back of the book: Where should I take this to sell it to someone who deals in vintage repair manuals? Sorry about the photo quality, its not easy to hold the camera and the book and not shake with a hangover... Thanks, guys.
Seems like putting in the for sale section of the HAMB would be a smart place to start. We are not allowed to post something up for sale unless you put a price on it.
Just a quick guess, but I would think the For Sale forum in the Hamb Marketplace would be a good place to start. You can find it by going to the home page, and clicking on the appropriate line. Just a guess.... (unless you think it's a rare and extremely valuable book, in which case I would Google Rare and Valuable Books, and then pick someone who sounds like they will give you a lot of money for it.) Apparently I type too slow.... Mutt
to get an idea of the value of the book, it is sometimes helpful to search completed auctions on ebay....there we find one just like it in better condition that was offered for $10 and did not sell (no bids) 280107767037 so don't expect to get rich off it.
Victor Page authored a whole series of auto manuals during the 20s-30s-40s. Most of the ***les were subheaded "Construction, Operation and Repair".
