Does anyone know if a 53 Chevy grill/lights can be installed on a 54 Chevy without major modifications? I might be buying a 54, but really like the 53 grill. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. I don't like the stock 54 grill.
the difference in the two goes all the way to hood, fenders. I'd trade my 53 front end for your 54 if its nice enough.
Hmm, I don't know yet without looking at the car in person... its a car I found through a friend. It doesnt have a front bumper or the grill. I do really like the 53 grill, especially the teeth and round lights. I wonder if im going to have to build a custom grill
Im hoping to just put the inside part with the teeth and the lights from a 53 into a 54 chevy, but not sure if the openining for the grill on the 54 is high and wide enough.. does anyone know? Heres a pic of what I mean (from 50chevy.com)
I'm in the middle of doing the same to my '53. Fenders, splash pan, upper grille bar are all '54 now. I thought the hoods were the same though? Are they not?
Yea I know, What I am wondering is if I can have that same setup in the 54.. just the grill and grill bar and those lights.
Oh were doing the opposite. your putting a 54 grill into a 53' I want to put a 53 grill into a 54' Did you sell all the 53 stuff you had replaced with 54?
