I posted this question in another post on a 1960 Pontiac I'm re-doing for someone here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1960-pontiac-catalina-project.948802/#post-10714176

The owner has decided to replace the 389 that needs rebuilding with a built 454 he picked up cheap. He's asking me to do the install. I don't have either engine handy, never played with a 389 or a 454 and he's over an hour away (which might as well be 5 hours with my busy schedule). So the question is, how involved of a swap is it? I've searched, but can't find conversion mounts. Anyone do this swap? Know of mounts that make it easy? Clearance of the oil pan?

I'd like to have an idea before I commit - I have a bunch of projects waiting in line and don't want to tie up too much time.

    Thanks
