A question out of curiosity while researching pre war customs and hot rods, is A. How to tell a difference from a real DuVall windsheild compared to a handmade or repop one (if such markings exist) and B. When where DuVall windsheilds first repopped since so many exist now?

Julian Doty and I we’re good friends. We met when I joined the Sidewinders. He worked all the SCTA meets at El Mirage giving us our timing slips. He asked me once about my last name mentioning a redheaded J.I. Tone he once knew in Glendale Ca.who worked at the Western Auto and had a hopped up black 29 roadster with a Crager overhead in the late 30’s. I told him he was my father. We remained friends until he p***ed. We talked many times about his cousin George.

The research I did its very hard to determan, with that said the original Duvalle had a longer center beak it almost met the center hood trim.

This one I fabricated in steel just because I was told it was impossible to do.
    You be the judge..
