has anyone mated an olds rocket/tranny combo to an early 60s cad?

care to share your process or even possible pitfalls/problems?

the motor/tranny mounts are obvious obsticles, and what about the driveshaft? ill be using the stock cadi rear end.

    thanks in advance

forgot to post what yr of the motor... duh...

its a 324 out of a 56 olds... front motor mount, and mounts at the rear of the engine.

Tho' I am a die-hard rocketeer (tm), I was wondering if you had some sort of reason for wanting to put an Olds engine into a Cad that came with a more powerful engine. Why aren't you planning on using the Caddy setup????

    good question...

the original motor/trans is gone and the 4 dr 56 olds i was working on has pretty bad frame damage, on my budget and time constraint it wouldnt be on the road for yrs. the rest id like to keep under raps until its done...dont want to jinx the project.

in the interest of being a little different, i want to put the olds drivetrain into an early 60s cad... it runs good and the tranny is a hydra-matic.
