16 gauge will be fine, especially if it's free. It's just going to be a tad thicker, but you don't really have much metalworking to do so it won't be an issue. Keep us updated! By the way, just got back from a weekend trip and got 14.5mpg driving like a puss!

Got some supplies for the body and such...Picked up some paint stripper called Talstrip II,a 4'x4' sheet of 16ga. sheet metal,a gas cap, some license plate bolts. That's it for now..Have 2 sheets of 3'x4, stainless 16ga. that I want to trade for some standard 4'x5' 16ga. sheets of regular steel.I'm thinking of trading all the 16ga. sheets for some 18ga. sheets. If anyone is interested,PM me.I'm in So. Cal. by San Bernardino

Well,I still have the car.And now here's a list of parts I've hoarded for the build. So far I have picked up the following:Steel brake lines, rear brake cylinders, break hardware kit for all 4 wheels,Baby Moons and tires,Little air housing and filter,Bed liner for the floors and trunk,Cheery Bombl for the exhaust,All new headlights(High Beams and Low Beams) and bulbs for everything else,New plugs and plug wires,New foot dimmer switch, and some other stuff I can't remember right now..Also,still looking to trade the 16 gauge (two 3'x4' stainless sheets and one 4'x4' regular steel sheet)sheets for some 18 gauge...Have a friend that is going to help me with the sheet metal work...Like I said, this time I'm here to look, listen, and leanr instead of run my mouth and cause drama...I'm over that crap...

Damnnn....Reverand Grimm 13, 62Monterey, now this? If I had to issue you a trophy, it would definately be "Most Banned on the HAMB ever"

Man you are about 8 years too late! There was a dumpster outside of J&J Pool Hall on rt 22 by me that had a nice set of Monterey side trim in it! :D
