im building a 45 chevy pickup i wana go as traditional as possible but im up in the air on if it wld be easier 2 build a box frame or just use the factory and z it i want this ****er 2 sit low???opinions please thx
You can get it plenty low with the stock aka original frame. Unless the original frame is junk I think I would keep it. There was a Thread a couple of days ago that showed someone putting a 50/54 p***enger front end under a pickup. That would give you an independent and still keep the Trad guys happy as it was done "back when". Don't forget dropped axles and modified springs to get it down too. Along with shorter front tires.
where did you find a 1945 chevrolet pick up truck. if it is a real 1945, maybe you should consider restoration, unless it's a pos, then i'd say go ahead and rod it. i only say this because you said it is a 1945 year model. now i revert to my long held belief,it's yours do what the hell you want with it!
