Whatever keeps an old ride on the road, and you behind the wheel is all good.

Some of the "newer" aftermarket clutches utilize very little pedal pressure. There is just that "something" about a manual transmission, and a transamatic automission just does't cut it; unless it's a Hydro of course.

While many people never learned how to drive a stick and thus may deserve your derision, others through fate, misfortune, or acts of war may be physically unable to operate a clutch. They should be free from judgemental comments.

  4. Some of the confusion on the yoke is because the very late muncies used a th400 yoke. Most were the same as th350/2004r/powerglide though

I'd listen to @twofosho Post 15. Just get a reputable company like Performance automatic to build you a 200R4 so you have overdrive. She will like it a lot better when taking extended drives. I bought a trans from them at the SRN a few years ago and it came with a lifetime warranty. Before you do anything, how does she like the noise level at 70 mph on the X-way with the direct drive manual trans. It will be the same with the Turbo 350. Then slow down to about 55 and compare the sound. Thats what the OD tranny will be like.
