Questions of what to do

Ok if you missed it myself and another member had a go at it on the message board here earlier today

Reason:
i sold this guy some stuff here in the Classified section, after the money was sent to me i used it to purchase another item thinking i could come up with the shipping money a couple of days later then i had a very bad stent of BAD luck

this has gone on for awhile now
now the other party in question has been slandering my name across the board, private messaging me cussing me out and calling me names

i told the other party that if he could wait until the 11th of may i would have no problem sending him his items
simply fact is i hardly have enough money right now to pay attention much less ship his items
during this time he has filed a claim with PAYPAL
now i keep my paypal account at a minimium which has made it difficult for him to get his money back
today before we got into this heated disscussion here on the board he private messaged me again asking me to give the items to a fellow HAMBer in my area who will in return take care of gettin them to him

which i simply replied with, if you want me to do that then drop the claim with paypal. i in return got a private message back which contained alot of cussing and name calling and then he toke it one step further and tried slandering my name across the board but someone very close to me put an end to all that within a few minutes by reporting it and having it closed down

then our fearless leader Ryan pm's me and i am presuming other party involved, and tells us the board is not the place to bash each other and offered his assistanence

i asked Ryan to please suggest a solution and he DID NOT, he flat out tells me to resolve it in X amount of days or i get added to bad sellers list

so i messed up i didnt get the items out like promised but i am offering a solution
buyer drops paypal claim and ill send items
i figure this is fair because if he does not drop the claim and i ship items then i am out the items and next time i use paypal i will be out the money

i know alot of you on this board are like i am, if someone came up to me in the streets and called me names and cussed me out i'd, at the least, knock em on their ass and like i said at the least

i do not feel it is ok to name call/cuss/slander when a person is at least offering solutions

Hell i even gave the guy my phone number during all this episode earlier today (and he still hasnt called) for the sack of either a pointless name calling/cussing session or coming to a sensible solution

So you had the money in hand but went and bought other parts before you sent his stuff out. Bad luck or not, you need to haul your butt down to the pawn shop and hawk some stuff for dough to cover the shipping. Borrow the money or something. Sounds kind of like you walked right into an ass whupin to me. Above all else here stay true to your word. If you ain't got the money for a truly legit reason the other member would probably understand, but spending the money on other parts is marginal.

 

If he drops the paypal claim, what is his guarentee that you will send it? At least if he has the claim in he has "something".

Make sure Paypal has NONE of your money, drain the account. Then send out the parts asap, even if the guy screams and hollers all the way till then. Then once sent, show Paypal the proof and they will typically reverse any "rulings". Even though Paypal is the biggest theif out there.

Also, Ryan does the best he can here. If you contact Ryan and say "it will go out on the 11th" (what 4 more days?) and send Ryan PROOF of it shipped, I doubt Ryan will waste his time on it. It's not Ryans job to offer advice, he is just trying to keep peace.

7 weeks is way more time than you should have gotten.

Ive seen all your posts about your model A tudor and your 53 chevy youve been working on since I payed you. Thats where my money whent.

I have a build going also and youve held it up 7 weeks now.

4 deals and 4 differnt buyers. All 4 had to talk to Rashy to get you to send the parts. 2 deals took more than a month for you to ship and 2 deals you havent shipped yet. Mine after 7 weeks.

All I get is excuses from you.

Bad move to say the least...send the guy his parts which he pay for he should of not had to wait for you to get more money to replace the money he sent.Your lucky he hasn't file charges on you for fraud!

I'm the other guy that has not recieved the items I paid for, as of yet. saoutlaw gotti did say he will ship my item after the middle of the month (severance check). Although he says that he lost one of my items and will refund my money on the middle of the month. The thing that made this whole deal really piss me off was, Your lack of replying to my PM,s. I believe I sent you several pm,s and did not get any replies from you untill Rashy got involved. Sucks I had to get the moderators involved over a simply transaction, but what other recourse did I have?

Man up and send him the stuff. Then if he is half the man he says he is he needs to drop the pay pal claim after receiving.

 

I agree send the stuff out, frankly that wasnt' your money to spend, it was sent as payment for shipping. Good intentions on sending out stuff and having bad things happen are one thing, 7 weeks is a default, if you waited on ANY bill 7 weeks you'd be getting calls from collections, do the right thing and send the man his stuff. I'd be hot as hell waiting 7 weeks for a part that is holding up a project....

If the buyer drops the Paypal claim before he gets the parts than he will have no claim to the parts OR his money. If he drops that claim than he's a bigger ass hat than you. It looks to me like you should already be on the bad sellers list. You definitly made my bad sellers list.
Why would you advertise your bad selling practices on the main board of the HAMB? The only way you can save face on this deal is to apoligize, send the guy his parts & refund his money.

 

So, get up off your ass TODAY and get the man's stuff boxed and ready to ship. Take it to UPS and send it freight collect (COD) Reimburse the shipping charge ASAP. I gotta believe if you were on the up and up, you'd have done this 7 weeks ago, but instead you pulled the pin and dropped it in your pants...

I personally know MuleFarmer and he WILL drop the PayPal claim once he receives all the parts. He is a stand up guy, I'll vouch for him. Send the dude his parts, and a apology for being a selfish ass.

 

That's pretty much the consensus. Probably the best reason for having threads like these is to emphasize our standards on the HAMB to the entire community. I wouldn’t send you any money either.
