Well, it looks like ole' Kev beat me to this! However, I took these pics and I'm gonna post them anyway!:D

Just a quick and dirty way of welding round objects. It's always hard to align two round pcs. and keep them straight when you tack them together.

You can see here, I welded my choke rod.....

As was mentioned in Kiwi Kev's post, by another HAMBR, it really helps to cut a notch of of the back side- thus allowing you to weld on one side and 180 from that.

The two larger pcs. of angle iron I use for welding Ford torque tubes and the drive shafts. You can see the notches in them.....

Also, if you notice, I made two different sized. Also, I cut some off of one side of the smaller one......so if you have a choke knob or hex end of a bolt that isn't very long....

    Mmmmm.... Charcoal....MMMMMMM........LOL (I'm hungry.)

This post and the other by Kiwi Kev were very helpful. Never even occurred to me before to use some angle and a round tube fixture with a Vice-Grip till I saw it in action here...the vice was always my friend. Thanks for posting the pics!
