I forget the procedure for polarizing this thing- it's been a while. can someone fill me in? I'd appreciate it! it's a standard Ford regulator for a '64.

Be sure every thing is hooked up including the battery. Disconnect the "Field" wire from the regulator. Touch the connector on the "Field" wire to the connection on the regulator for the "Battery" wire for 1-2 seconds (it should spark a little). Reconnect the "Field" wire to the regulator. That should do 'er.

Why? Is the polarity different in Austin than out here in the desert?
