Hi, my name is Kyle. Been hanging around a while, reading up and searching for tips, info, and parts. Love this site. A couple years ago a co-worker showed me his 1945 Ford 1-1/2 ton Dump truck. It has been sitting for a couple decades, just moved from owner to owner between Clio and Frankenmuth. It was mostly complete, only missing a headlight and marker trim ring and a couple other ramdoms. It also had a dead cat on the floor board. So I bought it for my wife. Ha ha. This summer while on a trip (work, not fun) in the U.P. I ran acrossed a 1946 1/2 ton Basket case. It had good bones but is rusty, mostly complete but in crates. I bought it and picked it up with the wife and made a "Fun trip" out of it. Intentions are to build one truck from the two. Just a putt around, p-pa truck, mostly stock and LOW. *Wife's requirements: stocks painted black w/smooth blackwalls (rubber raked), automatic trans, a seat cover, nothing else. Short list which is good! We are currently gathering to start in this winter. I will post pics as we start digging in.
