I am redoing the hood latch on my 51 Chevy because I changed the lower lip of the hood and rounded the corners. I have 2 questions: 1. Can the jam nut for the striker go on either side of the mount that bolts to the hood? It seems like it would be fine as long as it is able to tighten down. 2. Should the latch and the striker be at 90 degrees to each other, or is it better for them to be angled a bit? Thanks!!
