Howdy I was told to do an introduction. After that I'll probably go back to lurking for a bit. My name's Jason, I'm 27, and single (hello ladies) I'm a tattoo apprentice in Ithaca, NY, formerly an industrial designer from Austin, and formerly of Columbus. I'm also an illustrator and a relatively inexperienced painter (canvas). I just found a 1950 Dodge Coronet that I, along with 2 friends, will be rodding out. Big props to Big Al and the rest of the York Pennsylvania crew for helping out. The plan is traditional hot rod, low "newfangled technology." Powerful engine and lowriding. And what I'm looking forward to most: pinstriped. I'm going to spend the next year while I work on my car (frame up build) learning to pin stripe so I can have some fun when it's time to stripe. Big ups to Caffeine for pointing me the right diretion. This will be my first rod, something I've wanted to do for 15 years. My dad was a drag racer, motorcycle racer, and now builds airplanes. My brother's an aerospace engineer. It's in my blood. I'm also scoot fan, currently my bike is a 1972 Honda Scrambler which I'll be hopefully restoring next winter. Used to have a 2002 Vstar 1100 Classic. Um, and I plan on building a bike up this next winter as well (kickstart, ape hangers, springer!). I'm very poor, but all the money I make goes into mechanical toys for me. I consider myself most interested in the aesthetic part of hot rods, the metal work and shapes and painting, but I sure love a loud engine. I presume to know nothing, will listen to everybody, will take any advice I can get, will admit when I'm wrong, and constructively take all cristicisms. um, that's about it. Hello, how ya doin, all that stuff. I'l keep my mouth shut for a while
OK, lets see...... excellent intro, excellent attitude, cool toys. I think you will fit in fine. Welcome.
Welcome from the Redneck Capital of the world Whats the story on the Valiant next to your coronet? The more door will be pretty cool but that Valiant would make an awlsome Kustom. Later Brian
