Thought someone might be interested in my experience. I purchased one due to the difficulty getting my 55 in the air. Getting my floor jack under the rear end was very difficult due to the gas tank blocking the view of the pumpkin. Maybe also to the lower stance of my car. I am very happy with the ease of use of the Quick Jack. Prior to ordering I was concerned about the ability of my 77 year old body being able to deal with the weight. In actual use it is fairly easy to get in place and it puts the car at a perfect height. quickjack.jpg

I have thought about this jack as well since it is so portable and would work in a low-level ceiling arrangement. Where did you get the one you purchased? Do you have a website link?

They looked a little spindly in the adverti*****ts. Does it seem fairly sturdy?

Yes very sturdy. After having a friend lose his life due to his car falling on him I am very cautious with anything lifted. With the lifts at full height and locked in position, I can not get any movement by shaking hard. I do use jack stands as backups. I am impressed with the quality of the unit.

The one I have is 5000 lbs. they make a slightly smaller one,3500, and a 7000 also. I would have bought the 3500 but Costco had the 5000 on sale and it works for me. On their website they have all the specs.

I'll look into it. I suffered crush injuries years ago when a car fell on me, so I tend to be overly cautious when working under one ever since.
