It's all in the shape, T springs are also only 2" wide, A's are 2.25"...

A quick google search yielded these results...

    Model T...

Another tell-tell sign is the Model T spring (unless made before 1918) will have a small hole on the main leaf on top of the shackle eye. Prior to 1918, a Model T rear spring will be of the tapered leaf variety and will not have this hole but will have the nice, rounded tapered leafs. Model Ts built from 1909 to 1918 had oilers in the shackles. After 1919, the shackle oiler was eliminated and a small tin oiler was pressed into the hole on the main leaf. The Model A rear springs (and fronts) do not have this hole as the shackles had the grease fittings. The T springs is also shorter top to bottom and a little bit longer in overall width (end to end), and, like stated above, is 1/4" thinner.
