I'm looking for a box to store all of my stuff in. I'm just starting out so I don't need a huge box seeing as though I only have a couple of brushes and a few cans of paint. The problem is I'm in Afganistan and don't have the liberty of going to a store. I've been looking online and can't find what I think I need. I don't want to waste the money or the time ordering something that isn't what I need. Any suggestions on websites or anything will help. Thanks.

Some of the fishing tackle boxes look good,Plano has a nice
selection.Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shops have a decent selection.

Some guys store their striping brushes in a case intended for fishing flys.I use a slightly large box intended for lures, for storing brushes,it's around 1" deep and long enough to hold quills.A couple small blocks of foam go over the brushes, and stop them from shifting when the lid is closed.Mine came from Rubbermaid, but I think they are out of production.Something similar will be available.

How long until you get to go home ?

    Hey,

A small, cheap single tray toolbox has worked great for me. Brushes
and layout tools in the tray, pint cans or OneShot and solvent in the
lower compartment. Big "hey-look-at-me" boxes are great for shop
work, and some shows, but won't fit under the seat of a vehicle, and
    become a target for theft.

Shipping anything decent over there is probably expensive.
Can you use an Amo box, cigar box,or similar, while you are there ?

Thanks for the replies. I am here for about 5 1/2 more months to end my tour at 15 months. I could use some ammo cans for now but when I go back to Bragg I won't be able to ship those back. But thanks for the suggestions guys.

AOL used to send their free CDs in a metal box.
I've seen a few people using these boxes to hold striping brushes.

Old(metal) cigarette boxes would be another option.

PM me. I think I have a small metal tackle box that might fit your needs. I'll look for it tomorrow and, if I can find it, I'll send a pic and measurements. If it meets your needs, I'll ship it to you.

God bless you and your fellow troops for what you're doing for all of us stateside, keeping us safe and free.
