So an acquantience of mine purchased 250 reman'd engines from Cloverland Engines when they filed for Chapter 11 and I have the chance to pick up a reman'd Buick long block. Its the 3.8l 231 Turbo engine (RWD, w/sequential port fuel injection, w/Turbo and flat lifters), with the vin code "7". From my understanding this is the engines that went into the 86 and 87 Grand Nationals and the Firebird GTA SE's. Can some one confirm that and give me some more info on it?? I havent been able to dig up much. Also what do these go for? Would I have trouble selling it? My reason for asking is because I really need to get my engine rebuild and seeing as im still in highschool its hard to get some money I figured i could mabey make a buck. Thanks alot, Stephen Also to keep it more on topic, If any MN guys read this this guy has 2 Olds 307 rebuild long blocks for $195... PM me for contact info.
I'd say you could sell it on a GN board. Those things are kind of popular. A remember a rear end for one of those going for a good price. And just because it came out of a GN too.
I was searching onine and couldent come up with any... do you have any links or place you could direct me to??
There should be some clubs for those cars. I happened to land up a club for the 80's monte carlos. I was searching for parts for mine on the internet. Went to google and typed in buick grand national club. Here are a couple. http://www.turbobuicks.com/forums/index.php http://www.bgnra.org/
