R.Hodge Roadster Rear Axle Lowering Brackets

    Does anyone want to guess how these rear axle lowering brackets were made. It appears that they were a "strap" bracket, perhaps 1/2" thick with some thinner (1/4") gussets welded to them, then bolted to the stock T frame from top to bottom?

    No thoughts other than "over engineered"? Anyone venture to guess what the gas tank is from? Thanks
