That's very sad to hear. I was born and raised in Louisville, and Billy was a legend in his craft. We're about the same age, and I used to see him all the time cruising Iroquois Park back back in the day in his chopped Maverick. Bob Taylor had lettered "Billy the Kid" right above the drip moulding on the driver's side roof. Prayers sent for his family and friends.....RIP "Kid".
Sad to hear this. Hadn't seen him in a couple years since I have skipped the Nationals. Rest in peace Billy.
Sucks. He was a very good guy. He had done my interior in my old 63 Impala I used to have. I had know him since I was a little kid.
Spitzbohunkel, sorry to hear about Billy. He had lots of talent & certainly did alot in only 50 yrs. Always treaded me great! Bob
New Jr. well had not seen him or Bill Sr. since I moved from Louisville to Lexington.I had the great fortune to work with him an Sr. for a couple years back in the 90's both of them taught me a lot about interior work an was able to be apart of some great projects. R.I.P little Bill.....
Sorry for your loss. Lost my brother 12 years ago and I think about him all the time. Every brother is a legend in his own family. Sounds like Billy was a legend to all of Louisville. Prayers for you and your family.
The Scotts have done some really nice work over the years. I met them at the Casper show in 1986 when I toured a car on the circut. Bill Sr had been doing interiors for a short time back then. Both very nice guys.
I have known the family for almost 50 years and consider them some of my best friends. I had the privilege of working with Little Bill for 7 years and we had some great times at the shop. I watched Austin grow up there and Bill did on great job of raising him. He has grown up to be a fine young man. A memorial will be held for Little Bill on Sunday June 24th. It will be at the old Paradise country Club on Terry lane just south of Greenwood rd. It will be from noon until 4pm. Drive you rods, customs, or bikes to show respect to a great young man. I loved you Bill, you were like a son to me. Randy, the wood man.
