With sadness, I report the loss of our friend Bruce, we will miss not only his knowledge of all things quick change, but his witty posts as well. He was an important asset to this community, with a machinist background and involvement auto racing. Most times you can tell how happy a person is by his posts, and I regret not talking to him on the phone, it would have been a fun call. He passed peacefully on July 17th surrounded by his large family. R.I.P Mr. Schneider

Marty, sad to hear of Bruce's passing. Leaving this life surrounded by Family is a comfort that we should All have. Sharing with others along the way leaves a piece of you that can be remembered and passed along so that it can be shared time and time again. Farewell, Bruce!

Funny how this board works, how you can tell your going to miss someone that you never even met.
    RIP buddy and Gods speed.

This is sad news. I never met him or talked on the phone, but have had many pm's with him. We had the same interests on the mecriuser forum.
    RIP Bruce

Oh no! I am SO sorry to hear of this...over the years Bruce and I did some horse trading and he built me a locker for one of my quickchanges...his knowledge and skill will be greatly missed.

My condolences to his family and friends. Godspeed Bruce...

Last night after taking my quickchange apart, I thought I would consult Bruce on a couple things. I tried to send him a PM, but it wouldn't let me, so through other means I stumbled on to the bad news. He would have gotten a kick out of this picture ! IMG_1823.jpg

Memorials, both live and virtual, are not for the benefit or comfort of the deceased, rather they comfort the survivors through shared memories, thoughts, stories and prayers for those so inclined. I don't think you have to have met someone physically to grieve their passing. I didn't have any interactions with Bruce, but I am saddened that he will never pass this way again. I missed out on his knowledge and experience; I am poorer because of it. That said, he will be missed and his absence felt here and in the real world.

Just my opinion, for whatever that is worth. RIP Bruce.

I don't know how serious Bruce was but during our few PM's he made sure to say "keep me in mind if you ever want to sell your roadster".

:( I've been so worried about him. I called and left messages but no answer back.

Bruce introduced himself to me at a nostalgia drag race and every year, once a year, he would come and talk hot rods in the staging lanes. I enjoyed his friendship.

    Godspeed Bruce.

Hate hearing this. Hadn’t heard from him in a piece. He was helping me sort out a rear end. Always helpful and never knew him not to have the info I needed.

Bruce was building a magnesium Jones QC for my coupe. I would have been very proud and grateful.

    Dang!
    That was beautiful, @Bandit Billy.
I was never in a position to need his expertise, but that didn't stop me from reading his posts here and trying to absorb just a bit of QC info. He was a value to this board and the world at large.
