Thanks for calling me today and letting me know. You are one of my closest friends Rob and I feel your pain. I wish I would have met your dad. I would have been much richer for it I'm sure. If he was even half as kind and caring as you I'm sure he was a wonderful man. I am sorry for your loss my friend. May you find comfort knowing that he is in a place now without pain. Your friend. Stay strong pal. It will get easier with time. I know. Love that picture of him on the bike. So cool. D

  5. Love all of your family while they are here right now.
I remember the times I had with my Dad; good and not so good.
Mostly good; the not so good was from my end.
He would do anything for us !
    I share your loss.

  6. My condolances on your, and your families great loss.

Thank you , Dad was a tough old guy up to the end. I'm thankful for everything he taught me in life.. Some hard knocks on my side for not always listening. He will be missed always....

Rob, I don't know much about you father. I know that he is probably a gearhead and passed some of that on to you.

I also, have lost my wife on Apr 1st of 2012. Another web site lady friend in Nov of 2012 and a lady who befriended me right after my wife died. My friend Cindy was very specialo me. There is a thread I started in the HAMB Chapel about Cindy.

I do feel yout loss as I have experienced it quite a bit lately. Just realize that your Dad, my wife and two internet lady friends are all in a much better friend. I am still trying to get over my losses but know that it will be resolved in time. Cindy had also lost her husband (a minister for 43 years) in Jan of 2012.

All the best to your family as you grieve your losses.

    Dave

Rob, Thanks you so very much. Boy, I sure made some typo's in the composing of that last reply about your Dad. Hope that there are many memories to remember your Dad. I know that you will remember him and all the great times that you shared with him.

Today my family put my Dad to rest with all fellow vets at Tahoma National Cemetery... He had his full military honors.. I'm proud of my Dad and the service he did for our country. Its was a very humbling experience
being at Tahoma seeing all the vets there at peace. I thanked them all for there service... Seeing WW2, Korea,Vietnam, Gulf Wars, Iraq, Afganistan..
God Bless them... they lay in peace, but never forget them..

Thank you all again for all kind word of encouragement and condolences ,
    Robert W. Mellinger and Family...
