R.I.P HAMBANDY (Andy Dunn)

What a depressing way to end the day. Really hoped this one would have a happy ending....
Rest in peace with all the other rodders lost this year.

 

I am writing this with tears and I didnt even know Hambandy but read about him and his fighting spirit. One thing that keeps coming to my mind is that hope and prayer doesnt always work but with modern science, we may be able to come up with cures for diseases that affect so many. It is a tragic loss whenever we lose someone young and positive when they were delt a shitty hand in life. I read the post above and am very glad that science can forge ahead again instead of just relying on prayers. If theres a place up there, Andy will surely be there. I am also glad that there are so many on this board sympathetic to those that are not given a fair shake. Its not just about Hamb Andy but all those that are going through troubles and having incurable diseases etc etc. Just remember, it could be you or your best friend or your kid. There have been many before Hambandy and will be more after him given an unfair shake. But Hambandy has brought the best out of all of you!!!
My families deepest sympathy to the Dunn family. Hambandy will be in my thoughts .

 

It saddens me deeply to hear this. Andy was an inspiration to us all. I will be praying for his family.

As a parent who has lost a young child, I cannot begin to express my sadness and grief for Andys parents. Kinda cliche, but he is in a much better place now.

RIP young Man.

man...this day just keeps getting worse. the things i've been dealing with pale compared to this though. my thoughts and prayers to his family.

so how do we get that sedan up to heaven for him to tear up the gold paved streets? i'm sure he's old enough to drive up there!!

To his parents; I can't possibly imagine your loss ... I have a son his age .. I am so sorry for your loss of such a cool ass kid .He had to have been a cool ass son.... I never knew him but was proud of his fight . He truly touched alot of people and changed alot of peoples lives here . I know you were proud of him too. We all knew what a special guy he was . The world just lost a real deal hotrodder. I have always thought he would beat the rap and i would get to meet Andy some day. The HAMB made his life a little better for a time , but Andy touched all of us in a way most people never get to. Rest in peace Andy, we will all miss you. maybe someday we will cruise the streets of gold, where gas is free and we all can own our dream cars.

As everyone has said this is the worst news, RIP Andy, my condolences to his family. He is leaving us with all the rest of the greats that have also passed this year.
