Hey everyone..............

After spending a couple hours with Andy and family....and a gazillion visitors i have to share some words that were said......................

I was met in the front door by Chris's father....Andys grandfather. His first mention was off the HAMB and how wonderful everyone was.

I called Chris earlier in the day to update him on the HAMB post.....he was blown away and was almost left speechless when he called me later.

A couple other relatives shared their stories of being up very late in the morning reading the posts and looking at the views and posts add up.

The evening telegram called and will do another story on HAMBANDY and his life.

The funeral home has a slide show of Andy and the build and some pictures hunting and fishing. The HAMB signs that were done with his car were there and the news paper article was framed and there.

You could listen to people talking and looking at the pictures.....most were amazed that HAMB'rs adopted Andy and made the dream real.

All the posts are being printed and i have the first 12 hours of posts put in a binder and at the funeral home for all to read....i'll update tommorrow.

Here is where is is kinda cool.......Sunday Chris, Andy and brother Matt went out to look for a truck for Matt......Matt and Andy in the back of the truck had a bottle of beer and hung out...... I guess it was Andys toast to life and a bond with his brother. A moment im sure that will never be forgotten.......


Many have asked about sending something, if there is anything you would like to do in memory of Andy please read my 1st post and the charities are there.



Now for a personal note...............

If you see some young kid admiring your car, stop and speak to them. They may change your life. A shy kid approached me 4 years ago....we talked cars for a bit and i gave him my show entry t-shirt, this kid was kool...............this kid was HAMBANDY.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Andy yesterday. My condolences go out to Chris and family and the HAMB family. He was a special guy and a true inspiration for many. He will be remembered for a long time. Thank you Leon, fitzee and Hackerbilt for your updates and I am sure good things will come to you guys for all you have done for Andy. R.I.P. from Brendan.

 

Rest in Peace Andy, you are an inspiration to so many.

It's always hard to know what to say at such a sad time like this, but Andy you were such an inspiration far & wide, but now you will be Cruzin the Sky's an eye on us from a higher place.....you pave the way up there young Rodder & we will all meet you soon enough.
