Oh no! I used to say Hi! to him at every swap meet I saw him at. We lost a good one.

I had seen the story about Jack before and now it is even more pertinent, it serves as testimony to a life well lived. Jack enjoyed hot rodding and racing and was able to carry his hobbies into his job and later his retirement years.
    Godspeed Jack.

I never had the chance to talk with Jack much throughout the many years I passed his space at the Portland Swap Meet partly because there was always someone in conversation there already and the parts he usually displayed were not really in the category of items I was looking for but often wish I did need it because he always had some neat NOS pieces.
    RIP Jack.

Sorry to hear Marty. I can't say as I ever met him as I am not good with names but I never forget a swap meet stall. May he rest in peace.

Thanx for posting this Marty. As I read the story, I kept thinking that this was going to be one of those 'it all goes in the dumpster now' deals. But in the comments it looks like son, Jerry, plans to carry on. Good on you Jerry!

I met him in the mid 50's when we were racing midgets. He could always find us new Ford 60 parts.
    He was good friend.

As Briz and I set up today at the N.W.D.R.A. Swap Meet here in Vancouver, Wa. the fact that Jack was not right across from us was omnious, he has been there in the same spot for years. R.I.P. Jack you were a great friend and it was an honor to have known you! God Speed!

A gigantic blow to the hot rod community in the PNW.

Jack was as genuine as they come. I am proud to have called him my friend.

    Rest easy, Mr. Corley.

Very sorry to hear of Jacks passing.
Indeed what a great loss to the P.N.W. and the world of parts and racing.
Jack was the "genuine article", a true old school racer and a knowledgeable gentleman.

When I would go to the Portland swap-meet with my friends Rick and Pete, they knew him personally for years, and I would tag along with them, as we would always stop at his table and see what was for sale.

You could always pick him out in a crowd with that flattop haircut and the ever present blue, shop coat/duster on. Sometimes he would come up to the Monroe swap-meet as well.

He shall be missed by all that knew him!
Thanks @Marty Strode for posting this and sharing the links to the write up on Jack.
