Jacks crewcut and smile seemed omnipresent!

I wanted to contribute this great, recent photo of Jack. It was taken by my friend, Ben Carscallen. He also took the photos in my article that was linked in the original post.

Marty, that's where I heard of Jack's passing when I noticed his absence at the NWDRA swap meet. I am very sad to hear of Jack's passing as he was a fixture at every local swap meet for decades!
I always looked for Jack's signature blue shop coat, and enjoyed visiting with Jack. He seemed to know everyone, and everyone sure knew him too!

This photo was displayed at the NWDRA swap meet. A fitting photo. RIP Jack. I am going to miss you.

I'm terrible on names but the photos of him in the blue shop coat tell me that I have stopped at his booth at swap meets for a lot of years. Nice guy who will be missed, may he rest in peace.

Yes and the shop coat may be older and the hair a little grayer but the smile is the same.

The 32 in the picture belonged to Bruce Miller, who started Street Rod Magazine in Portland in the very early 70's. Jack bought it, and it sat in his Gresham shop for years, until he had Brent at Mad Max, complete some things, and get it on the road. Jack used to have a "Back Yard" Swap meet at his house, some would camp overnight. I have the magnet plaque, and the QC ratio chart he gave me. I look at both of them everyday. Gary, A friend of mine from Eugene, drove his 40 coupe, and slept on the ground. At dusk, Jack used to show films outside, Indy 500, with Len Sutton in attendance !

Our car club has a Monday morning breakfast, and Jack's passing came up of course. A couple of the guys said Jack had sold the '32 awhile ago, and weren't sure when? Others told me he still had it? Anybody know for sure what the status of Jack's '32 really is?

Vall, Jack sold the 32 a while back, but asked the new owner if he could keep it around for a while.
