Just got off the phone with a good friend of mine from Maine who informed me that Jim Mahan passed away on December 12th;apparently of a massive stroke. Hadn't spoken with Jim in years but he was a hot rodder to the end. I first met Jim when he was driving a AA.FD called the Hard Guys back in the late 60's or early 70's. One of my classmates(Tom O'Connell)was the engine builder. I later lettered another dragster that he sponsored(and I believe also drove)for him when he opened Automotive Parts & Performance in Lynn Massachusetts. Not sure exactly when he and Jack(Church Key) Brady teamed up but they have been partners forever with their Fiat altered. Anyway I just wanted to post this in memory of an old friend. RIP Jim.
