Died today at 90 years of age. Radio will never be the same. He was station manager at KSAL here in Salina as a young man for 3 years in the 1930's and left to work at KOMA in OK City, OK. His show in Chicago had a listening audience of 22 million people a week.

He was a master salesman. People trusted him. He could absolutely sell igloos to Eskimos.

The only guy I ever really enjoyed listening to on the radio. An American original. Those are hard to come by these days.

90 years young. Great stories. I enjoyed them and would sit and listen in the driveway if I caught it as I came home. Radio for 70 years. Now that's loving what you do.

    RIP Mr. Harvey, Good Day!

I used to like to listen to him but haven't in a long time. Got to wondering about him lately hearing him during radio commercial breaks. Huge loss for the industry and for all that remembered and liked him. R.I.P. Paul, you deserve the rest

  21. I think after his wife died a couple of years ago he cut back his schedule. He called her "Angel", I was impressed with that.

Sad day indeed I remember sitting at my grandmothers kitchen table about 6 or 7 yrs old eating fresh corn bread listening to Mr Harvey.

  27. RIP. even though he became liberal these last few years. I am almost 40. and his commentary was a part of my life for many of those years.
