1952-59 Ford Radiator air deflector

Today I found a radiator air deflector seal in the parts box. After some research I'm not sure the '54 came with one. My car didn't and neither did the Victoria I have for parts. My 52-59 car parts catalog illustrations only show one on a '52 & '53. Should I be looking for one? I'm trying to keep the car original.

No air deflector was stock.

On a 55 or 56 it was the part of that country your car was ***embled in whether your car had the panel and seal. The 54-57 illustration book I have does not show it for any models but installed one on my 56 and it sure helped in cooling. The seal was held on with staples.
