I will add reinforcement to the bottom when I get it all blow apart for paint.

Rectangles have parallel sides where opposite sides are the same measurement - if the bottom and top measurements are not equal (see my above pic from Rootlieb, 1/2" difference), how can the front edge of the cowl and the rear edge of the grille shell be parallel?

because it isn’t a rectangle, not all of the corners are 90 degrees. It isn’t even a parallelogram, as the top is relatively flat whilst the bottom goes uphill.

That said, I don’t believe they should be parallel and a little forward lean of the grill shell always looks best in my opinion. I’m also not a fan of lowering the shell any more than stock on a ‘32.

Check the pic from Rootlieb again and note that the heights at the front and back are not equal, and the lengths top and bottom are different. It is far from a rectangle, and the length of all sides are different, but the cowl and radiator shell can be parallel.

I'm tracking with what you're saying - after reading previous posts, I realized that the bottom edges of my shell were actually sitting on the frame (as well as the radiator on the cross-member). I'll leave the shell where it is and order custom sides.
How much minimum gap at the bottom of the sides do you all recommend?

A very long time ago (1972) I had the same issue with my 32 3 window that I had a model a cross member welded in. I had ordered a radiator from a source in NJ for a 32 but found out that the 32 radiator was deeper across the front CX member so the shop fabled up a radiator with 32 dimensions except the bottom tank matched the model A . problem solved (sorry no pictures from the olden days)
I know walker is not making radiators now but a good radiator shop should be able to modify your Walker to fit. Idoubt you can modify the CX member enough to make it fit
