I am using a 29 ford grill shell on my project and am having trouble finding a radiator that will fit. I have a 350 engine and an automatic transmission. I want a cooling system that can handle stop and go traffic. I will be running a traditional fan. Usable space for the radiator is approx 18.5 inches wide by 22 inches tall. Any suggestions on what radiator might work for this application?

yeah what he said! Im running an aluminum one made for a '65 stang. It has the trans cooler, but i opted a remote resevior from speedway. I ended up paying $150 for the rad. and $30 for the trans cooler, granted bother were made overseas.

Oh yeah, im running a 454. and my grill shell is a 34 plymouth

Thanks for the suggestions, I located a 66 mustang radiator and it looks like it will work, but I haven't purchased it yet. Before I buy one I want to investigate the Ford 5000 tractor radiator. That looks really good in Von Rigg Fink's 28 A project

the radiator that i used i picked up of ebay the seller said it was off a 69 v8 commet, although i heard that a v8 commet would have the same rad as a mustang. eather way it fit good in my 29 shell when i turned it sideways, just have to use a inline fill.

    Thanks..
once the Radiator shell is mounted and the neck moved the shell will sit down a bit lower..you will probably not even see the top tank when its done
